Velile is a devoted mother to three amazing daughters and a beacon of light for women and girls everywhere. With an unshakable passion to uplift, inspire, and empower, Velile has made it her life’s mission to help others rise — whether it’s through mentorship, mental health care, or creating spaces like this one where women can connect, dream, and grow together.
A successful entrepreneur and board-certified psychiatric clinician, Velile is the founder of Broadway Psychiatry, a thriving practice she launched in 2020 where she continues to treat, counsel, and guide individuals toward emotional healing and a more fulfilled life. Her day-to-day is rooted in purpose — helping people unlock the best version of themselves.
Before fully stepping into healthcare, Velile expressed her creativity through fashion. As CEO and designer of Simply Afrosheek by Velile, she celebrated culture and confidence through elegant designs that spoke to the soul. Her debut fashion show in Dallas, TX was such a success that it earned a spotlight feature on the ION Network, introducing her clothing line to a national audience. Though she stepped away from the fashion business to pursue her passion for psychiatry, her flair for style still shines through everything she does.
Velile lives boldly and beautifully, guided by faith and grounded in love. Friends often joke that she "loves the smell of jet fuel" — a nod to her love of travel and the life she lives on her own terms. She’s overcome life’s toughest storms with grace and resilience, and she continues to shine by turning pain into purpose.
Her heart beats especially for orphans, and through her ongoing support for Queen Elizabeth Children’s Home in her hometown of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, she has provided food, clothing, and resources to children in need — a cause she remains committed to return to this year and beyond.
